First Holy Communion at St Marie’s

As work continues on the outside of the church the life of the parish continues with the usual round of liturgies and Masses.

On Sunday 16th June we celebrated the First Holy Communion Mass with the children and families of St Marie’s school.

We were blessed with a warm, sunny afternoon and the church was full to overflowing with excited children and proud families, many of which had travelled great distances to celebrate this special day with us.

Please keep the children and their families in your prayers so that they will grow in love of the Lord present in the Blessed Sacrament.

My sincere thanks go to the teachers from or schools who have worked with me over the last months to prepare the children for this special day.  My thanks also go to our parish catechist who helped with the preparation for children who attend none Catholic Schools in the area.

I am also deeply grateful to parents who have supported the children through the period of preparation.  Please continue to support them by bringing them to Mass each week so that they can foster love of Our Lord present in the Blessed Sacrament.

Lastly, but by no means least my thanks go to our dear children.  It was a delight to celebrate your First Holy Communion Mass and I was moved by the way that you received Our Lord for the first time with such devotion.  I pray that you will always receive Him with such faith and love.

Many thanks also for my little gift!!!  Bóg zaplać.
