‘I baptise you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit’.
With these words the priest welcomes another member into Holy Mother Church and claims them for Christ our Saviour by the sign of His Cross.
Recently I had the joy of baptising baby Ada at St Joseph’s Church. Please keep her and her family in your prayers so that, supported by her parents, she will grow up to be a faithful member of the Church.
Congratulations to parishioner Bill Toye who was presented with a pin and certificate at the 9.15am Mass at St Joseph’s on Sunday 11th May for achieving 60 years as a Pioneer.

At St Peter’s Basilica in Rome on the Solemnity of the Annunciation, the Holy Father, consecrated Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Catholic Bishops in England and Wales also joined Pope Francis in the consecration on that day.
On Sunday 17th October 2021 at St Marie’s Church, Susan Hyndman was presented with the Benemerenti Medal.
